Once again a strong conference programme was put together for Umbrella 2007 and the content of speaker sessions was rated 95% Good to Excellent by delegates who attended the event last week in Hatfield.

Inspiring keynote presentations in plenary sessions were complemented by nine special topic tracks. These featured special presentations developed and delivered by CILIP's Special Interest Groups and focussed on the key issues facing LIS professionals.

The tracks were:

1) Workforce Development

2) Leadership/Management

3) Customers/clients

4) e-Content

5) Law/ethics

6) Communication

7) Research and evidence based practice

8) Information literacy

9) Technology
