open Umbrella 2007 and speak about challenges facing the
information profession. It is anticipated she will be thought-provoking

of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) 2005 - 2007 and
University Librarian at the University of Technology, Sydney, Australia.
He will speak on Advocacy and Freedom of Information; the challenges
facing the library and information profession in the global information

Burger, President of the American Library Association
(ALA) 2006 - 2007 and Director, Princeton Public Library in New
Jersey, USA. Leslie's presidential theme is Libraries transform
communities, and this fits well with Umbrella 2007's theme
of Catalysts for change. She will talk about transformation
with some "future gazing" and controversy thrown in.
