Sue Blood   

Biography - Sue Blood is the Head of the Learning Resources Centre at Hurstpierpoint College. She has worked as an information scientist, abstractor and school librarian before joining Hurstpierpoint College in 2003.

Abstract - "Exploiting VLEs: bringing the library into the classroom"

This session will look at examining applications of VLEs in school libraries : teaching information skills, supporting reading projects, providing revision aids, promoting reading events, liaising with subject departments to produce interactive quizzes on the VLE to promote 'academic weeks'. It will also look at practical ways of incorporating both library and classroom in the VLE environment.
