Abstract
- Collaboration in transition: working together to facilitate
information literacy
With
the rise of social software and the increase in available information,
how can schools and universities collaborate in producing information
literate graduates? This session will report on the preliminary
findings from a National Teaching Fellowship research project which
is working with teachers, students and librarians to discover what
they think other people think about information literacy and how
these perceptions affect student information literacy. The Newcastle
IL toolkit, an initiative to facilitate IL in the curriculum, will
also be demonstrated.
