Abstract - Knowledge Management in the NHS - A work in Progress

In recent years much has been spoken about knowledge management, often with a degree of scepticism; however in the NHS where mistakes can cost lives, the effective handling and use of knowledge is a key building block in the delivery of improved patient care. This talk will provide an overview of the range of KM initiatives that are going on the NHS at the nationally level to the local health organisation; from the very IT to the more people driven; some case studies will be included.
