POSTER
WINNER ANNOUNCED!
The
poster sessions this year were much bigger with a total of 26 entries.
On Friday 29 June, Margaret Watson, Chair of Umbrella and Biddy
Fisher from Sheffield Hallam University had the difficult task of
judging the 26 poster entries and were pleased to announce that
the winning entry was :
'Dorryssyn
ta fosley', Opening doors:from medical to multidisciplinary and
beyond: An island approach,
This
poster was presented by Christine Sugden and Anita
Gould, Library Information Services, Isle of Mann.
Margaret
Watson commented " The Isle of Man poster was striking and
told its story clearly and effectively. Two of the three judges
placed it first for its clarity and positive approach. The accompanying
leaflet was also of high quality and the team answered questions
with pride and smiles."
Congratulations
to the winning entry.
Applications
came from individuals and groups and from organizations and researchers.
Nearly every sector in the information domain was represented from
the health service to academic libraries, from commercial to public
services, from a national library to career information. So there
was something for everyone and we hope lots of delegates took the
time over lunch to look at the display and ask questions.
