Peter Ramsden   

Biography - Peter Ramsden is a chartered librarian with twenty years experience of working in libraries. He has also worked on a number of training and development projects, and has been an assessor for the NVQs in Information and Library Services. He is currently a member of the Standards and Qualifications team at Lifelong Learning UK.

Abstract - New Standards, New Qualifications, New Skills

LLUK is leading the development of a new generation of occupational standards and vocational qualifications for the libraries, archives and information services workforce. This session provides an update on the current development of the new standards and looks ahead to the design of new vocational qualifications, due to be introduced in 2008.
