Biography - is the Copyright and Digital Resources Officer at Brunel University. Monique started at Brunel in 2005 and brought with her a background in academic library work from her previous post at London Metropolitan University. Although she is based in the library, her role is university-wide, providing centralised support and training on copyright issues to all Schools, departments and students. All copyright matters fall under Monique's umbrella, but the role's primary focus is on the e-learning environment.

Abstract - Making copyright cool - a copyright consultancy service for teaching and learning at Brunel University

A case study of setting up a copyright consultancy service at Brunel University, offering University-wide support and guidance to academic staff and students in relation to teaching and learning.

It will look at the methods by which copyright issues are marketed to staff and students at Brunel, looking at the importance of fostering good links with academics, Schools, librarians and even central service departments in order to create a culture where staff and students are clued up about how copyright content should be managed in the teaching and learning environment.
