Biography - Moira is Science Librarian at Newcastle University and a National Teaching Fellow.  She chairs the UK Universities Science Librarian's group and is a member of the CILIP UC&R Northern Committee, the SCONUL Working Group on Information Literacy, the SCONUL Access Group on international students and the LIMES information literacy Community of Practice.

Abstract - Collaboration in transition: working together to facilitate information literacy

With changes in school curricula, changing demands on universities, the rise of social software and the increase in available information, can schools and universities collaborate in producing information literate graduates? This session will highlight some of the challenges facing schools and universities, report on preliminary findings from a National Teaching Fellowship project in this area and demonstrate one Newcastle University initiative which is addressing these issues
