Karen Newton   

Biography -Karen Newton has worked for the City Of Sunderland Public Libraries for the past 28 years, which is curious as her library ticket puts her as only 23 years old. She is currently the Assistant Manager at the City Library and Arts Centre. Karen is a member of the National Committee for Affiliated Members and has been closely involved with the development of the Framework of Qualifications. After working on the pilot project for the ACLIP, Karen is now enrolled on a part time Bsc [hons] Information Science course at Northumbria University where she hopes in 4 years time to become a MCLIP.
