Julie Bunyan  

Biography - Julie is a Senior Assistant Librarian at De Montfort University. She is responsible for cataloguing, classification and related activities as well as supporting Public Services at Information and Enquiry points throughout the library. Julie leads an Information Desk working party, which has been managing the integrated library and IT helpdesk combined with roving activities. She has been one of the main internal trainers of library rovers.

Abstract -Developing the Roving Workforce

During a period of change involving major building works and the introduction of RFID and other services, desk based support was redeveloped to provide a mobile service to complement the changes being introduced. This session looks at the journey taken by staff in the Kimberlin Library, De Montfort University from anxiety to acceptance and from confusion to confidence.
