Judith Broady-Preston 

Biography - is Chair of the Management Research Group at the Department of Information Studies, University of Wales, Aberystwyth, Director of Learning and Teaching, and a member of the Department's Senior Management Team. Research interests are value, quality, impact, performance measurement and services marketing. Judith has published extensively in a range of international journals, presented numerous conference papers, and undertaken national and international consultancy projects.

Abstract - The changing LIS education landscape: opportunity or threat?

Bologna, the Leitch Review, workforce development, Framework of Qualifications, the National Occupational Standards review, Foundation degrees, social learning are all contributing to a changing LIS education landscape. The implications of these factors on the curriculum and delivery modes of one major DL provider, DIS UWA will be reviewed.
