Abstract
- MLA Partnership: Research & Evaluation Framework
and Agenda
The MLA
Partnership (MLAP) leads England’s museums, libraries and
archives to ensure they meet the needs of both the individual and
the community and deliver sustained improvement, innovation and
excellence.
For 2007-10, the MLAP will focus on two strategic areas:
• People and communities: our work aims at increasing and
sustaining participation in the sector; and
• Improvement and innovation: our work aims at placing museums,
libraries and archives at the heart of national, regional and local
life and establishing a world class and sustainable sector.
The MLAP invests in research and evaluation to inform the development
and implementation of these strategic areas. The process and results
of this work provide vital information and evidence of whether our
work is good value for money and is helping us meet our strategic
aims.
