Abstract
- Teachers, trainers, educators, enablers: what skills
do we need and where do we get them from
This session
aims to provide some guidance to the plethora of courses and qualifications
available to enable library staff to gain teaching skills. Using
case studies and contributions from a range of library staff involved
in teaching across a range of sectors, this interactive session
aims to identify the key skills needed and discuss a range of options
to gain these skills. The session will also include a contribution
from Lifelong Learning UK to outline the new teacher/trainer competencies
and the new vocational qualifications becoming available shortly.
