David Fielding  

Biography - David Fielding is Assistant Librarian Social Inclusion for Bury MBC Libraries & Adult Learning. For the last 6 years David has taken particular responsibility for Bury's innovative Outreach Library service. He work with a wide range of community volunteers, library staff and partner agencies to provide library services specific to local needs.

Seven years ago Topping Fold was a run down council estate with many social problems. Today it is a popular place to live with a thriving community centre and library which is managed by a unique partnership between local people and library services. Community engagement has been the key to this success.
