Biography - David Fickling is a children's book editor and publisher of David Fickling Books in Oxford. Recent publications include Philip Pullman's Lyra's Oxford , Mark Haddon's The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time , John Boyne's The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas and Linda Newbery's 2007 Costa-winning Set in Stone . In 2004, David won the British Book Award's Editor of the Year.

Abstract - Esme Green Memorial Lecture – Crossover Culture

 

Well-known innovative publisher David Fickling will be joining us at the Umbrella conference for the first time to deliver a lecture on Crossover Culture. In 2004, David received the British Book Award for Editor of the Year. His recently published titles include Mark Haddon's Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time , Linda Newbery's Costa Award-winning Set in Stone , John Boyne's The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas, Siobhan Dowd's A Swift Pure Cry and Philip Pullman's Lyra's Oxford
