Alan Brine  

Biography - Alan Brine is the Technical Services Manager at De Montfort University Library Service. He is responsible for cataloguing and acquisitions operations, as well as all aspects of IT provision including maintaining the library network and associated systems, and training and support. He is an active member of PTEG and CILIP.

Abstract -Developing the Roving Workforce

During a period of change involving major building works and the introduction of RFID and other services, desk based support was redeveloped to provide a mobile service to complement the changes being introduced. This session looks at the journey taken by staff in the Kimberlin Library, De Montfort University from anxiety to acceptance and from confusion to confidence.
